Hunt the Gospel Hump Wilderness
in the Nez Perce National Forest. There is a variety of spectacular
country, ranging from very steep to moderate mountain terrain
with open boggy meadows, old burns, and thick timber. A combination
that makes for excellent wildlife habitat. There are an abundance
of elk and deer in the area. The Salmon River breaks offer great
hunting for spring bear and the Elk hunt in September during the
rut. There are Big Horn Sheep that roam this area. You can also
find Moose, Mountain Lions and Mountain Goats in the area. There
are herds of elk and deer that inhabit the area year round. During
the late season we get additional elk and deer that migrate there,
because this is the wintering grounds.
With our hunting season starting in September and going through
December with numerous varieties of species to hunt we are confident
we can fit your hunting needs.
